The purpose of the Rimpact Tuned Mass Damper is to increase the performance of the front end of your bike. It does this by using mass and springs to absorb and regulate energy for less vibration, better handling and more wheel ground contact time. This increases traction, reduces fatigue and increases comfort. You simply need to be in good shape to be able to ride fast, and this helps keep you there. 

This device is installed in your steerer tube. It does have a bit of an installation process, you'll need to look at that before installing it.
